The number one financial regret people have is not starting to save and invest in their 20s and 30s. We can all play a role in changing this.
First, keep repeating that opening statement everywhere possible and ask others to share it. Younger people need to hear this “too late” lesson early.
Second, we need to “open the door” for younger people to begin their financial journey in a practical way. Gift them a book that helps them act. Not a “feel-good” book, not a “jargon” book, not a “change your life” book, and not a “do what I did” book. If you already have a favorite book to accomplish this, then gift it.
If you do not, consider my book which I wrote as an educational and actionable book. Sharkproof Living: A 7 Step Journey to Financial Independence on your own terms (Amazon only https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GJXQF91M).
The eBook is only $3 plus your local sales tax on Amazon.com to remove purchase barriers. It contains the exact same content as the physical book.
There is a simple way to buy the eBook and put it directly into people’s hands:
- Go to the Amazon book page https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GJXQF91M.
- Select the Kindle app option if needed.
- Select the Buy for Others option.
- Select your delivery method:
a. Enter the email addresses of your recipients, and they will each receive a redemption link.
b. If you do not have an email list handy or want to gift the book at different times or occasions, select the second option to receive the quantity of redemption links yourself. You can then send each link whenever you wish.
You can buy as many as you want at any given time for any favorite book you want to gift.
Alternatively, you can also donate money directly to a school, church, or other nonprofit. They would then buy the eBooks using the four steps above and distribute them within their community. Donations are tax deductible based on the latest IRS and state regulations when made to eligible organizations.
The “Read sample” button on the Amazon page of my eBook shows the full Table of Contents which in itself has some introductory educational insights.
